Sex therapy

Intimacy you can feel at ease in

A calm, judgment-free space to work through sexual and intimacy concerns, in person in Canberra or online across Australia.

What sex therapy is

More than the physical

Sex and intimacy can be one of the most rewarding parts of a relationship, or one of the most painful when things are not working. It is rarely just physical. It touches trust, connection, pleasure, vulnerability and the sense of being wanted and safe with another person.

When that part of a relationship falters, it can quietly affect everything else. Sex therapy is a supportive, professional way to understand what is happening and to find a way forward, together or on your own.

Intimacy asks us to be seen. That is exactly why it can feel so hard, and why the right support makes such a difference.

Sex is natural, but a healthy, satisfying intimate life is something most of us are never actually taught. There is no shame in needing help with it. That is what this work is for.

How it helps

A way through, at your pace

Working with a trained therapist gives you a safe space to explore what is going on, without fear of judgment, and to build healthier, more connected habits.

Performance anxiety

Easing the pressure and worry that can build around intimacy and get in its own way.

Body image and confidence

Working through the self-consciousness that can make closeness feel difficult.

Past experiences

Gently addressing trauma or difficult history that shapes how intimacy feels now.

Communication

Learning to talk about needs and desires in a way that brings you closer, not further apart.

Reconnection

Rebuilding closeness and desire when they have faded or become a source of tension.

Root causes

Understanding where difficulties come from, so change lasts rather than papering over it.

What it can address

Concerns we help with

Sex therapy can support a wide range of sexual and intimacy issues. Some of the most common include:

  • Low libido or mismatched desire
  • Erectile dysfunction
  • Premature ejaculation
  • Difficulty reaching orgasm
  • Pain during intercourse
  • Vaginismus
  • Compulsive sexual behaviour
  • Sexual trauma or abuse

If any of these feel familiar, know that help is available and change is possible. We work with you to understand the root causes and build healthier, more comfortable intimacy, at a pace that feels right for you.
